What to expect when you book a Bra Boss fitting!

​So you've booked your private fitting with the Bra Boss (hooray!) and you're ready to chuck out your old bras and start afresh with some lovely new lingerie!! 

This blog entry will give you a little insight to a private bra fitting at Bra Boss HQ and what to expect when you arrive and throughout your bra fitting experience....

Once you have booked your appointment via my website HERE you will be sent a confirmation email with all of these details and the address of the Bra Boss HQ. If you do have any questions about where to go, you can also get in touch with me directly and I am more than happy to advise. There is ample free, on the road parking with no time limit - so there is no need to worry about rushing or moving your car. 

When you arrive for your fitting at the Bra Boss HQ, there is a 'Ring' Doorbell - please press this! This will connect you through to me and I will then come and meet you to walk you round to the little private bra haven! 

Once we arrive at the Bra Boss HQ, there will be a drink and a cupcake waiting for you whilst we have a quick consultation about what type of bra you are looking for, when you last had a bra fitting etc. I will then ask you to pop round to the fitting room so we can get started!  

Now here's the important part when it comes to your bra fitting - you absolutely DO NOT have to take your bra off in front of me, 'get naked' or do anything you don't feel comfortable with. I will always ask if it's ok to come in the fitting room and if it's ok for me to stay in and help with any adjustments that needs to be made. This is your bra fitting and therefore you are in total control. The most important part of your fitting is that you feel happy, relaxed and comfortable.

If you are happy for me to stay in the fitting room with you, I will have a check over the bra you are currently wearing, and I will talk through how this bra is fitting (or not fitting you!) in front of the mirror so you can visually see the indicators of a good and bad fitting bra. The best thing about having a professional bra fitting at an independent boutique is that we know our products inside and out. I will therefore choose the size and the style of the bra that I think will work best for your shape. It is my job to go and select the bra for you and to help you into it and make the correct adjustments to save you from rifling through rails and rails of bras.

I will help you put on your new bra by standing behind you whilst you lean forward into the bra. I will then do the bra up for you and adjust the bra straps. Alternatively, I am happy to wait outside the fitting room whilst you put on the new bra, and I can make the adjustments to the straps afterwards

The amount of bras you try on may vary depending on what style you are looking for! I will always take in the bras that I think will fit and suit your shape and bring in those products. I am able to order in other colours of the bras I stock (if they are available to order) but please bear in mind that this will take a week or so to arrive. 

So once you have found your new bra, there is absolutely no rush. You are more than welcome to keep it on for a bit to see how it feels - lots of ladies have gone home in their new bra and left their old one with me to recycle (which is actually one of the best compliments a bra fitter can get & it makes my day!) 

I accept card payments at the Bra Boss HQ, so there is no need to worry about bringing cash with you. I have a handy little Square payment machine which connects to my phone, so payments are quick and easy. You will also be a text or an email receipt so that you know what items you have purchased. Your bra will be wrapped in some lovely tissue paper and popped into a bag for you to take home!

It's as simple as that! 

My main aim to is provide a lovely bra fitting that doesn't feel like a hassle or a chore like it can do at times in large stores or if you were to purchase online. As it is such a personal service, I want to ensure that you have a great experience in total privacy. 

If you feel a little bit nervous or apprehensive about going for a bra fitting, you are more than welcome to bring someone with you. I've had lots of lovely ladies bring their mum to hold the baby whilst they are having their nursing bra fitted, or their husbands if they are coming for their first mastectomy bra.
