In 2010 after graduating from University with a degree in Criminology with Sociology, I worked in the Lingerie department in Fenwick Canterbury as the dedicated consultant for the brands Fantasie & Freya. These brands specialise in D-K cup lingerie. I completed my bra fitting training at their head office & was taught how to fit everyday wired and non-wired bras, nursing bras and bra sized swimwear.

After working at Fenwick for a couple of years I was then approached by another brand Gossard & Berlei (the founders of the famous Wonderbra and the Shock Absorber!) to work for them as a Visual Merchandiser. Here, my job was to visit the large department stores who stocked Gossard. Stores included; House of Fraser, John Lewis, Debenhams and BHS (RIP!) It was my job to make sure that the stock was sized and hung correctly, staff were trained properly and to help out at any bra fitting events taking place in any of the stores.

I was then promoted to Area Sales Manager for the South of the UK which meant I managed and looked after all of the Independent lingerie stores - whether they were Department Stores, little boutiques or online accounts. My main responsibility was to present and guide the store buyers or boutique owners through the different collections, advise on what ranges would suit their store, and to talk through the features and benefits of the bras with them. I would help to organise bra fitting events, help with marketing and PR related events. I also created and implemented the Gossard & Berlei bra training manual, and would hold bra fitting training sessions with the bra fitters in the different stores all over the South of the UK

Some particular highlights were working at the London Marathon expo fitting ladies into their Sports bras, working at the Olympia horse show fitting a specially designed Horse riding bra and working with our PR agency fitting journalists for magazines such as Women's Own, Grazia and Good Housekeeping. I also assisted the National Account Manager with larger accounts such as Amazon, Figleaves and ASOS.
We also had the privilege of sponsoring England Hockey's women's team, meaning that I met with and fitted all of the ladies, which was a great experience. 
Worked for an award-winning brand for 5 years
After about 5 years at Gossard, I moved to a French brand VFB Lingerie, which focused on soft, cotton non wired product, but also had a brand that focused on luxury lingerie and swimwear, focusing on high end silks, pima cotton and Calais Lace. A lot of the ranges that I would sell would be targeted at the high end boutiques or independent department stores.
Three years later, I was offered a role at Panache Lingerie, who focus on the larger cup sizes (D-K cup). Again my role was to work and manage the Independent stores in the South East of the UK, selling in products into stores. Customers included the Fenwick Group (which was lovely, as it meant I went back in to see the ladies I used to work with in Canterbury!) and I would also visit a lovely lingerie brand in Liberty's of London which was another highlight. Although I absolutely loved my job in Wholesale, it has always been my dream to open up my own lingerie shop and to go back to the bra fitting side of things and helping others.
On my travels with work, I would visit some absolutely beautiful lingerie stores and I would get that little pang of butterflies (or probably jealousy!) On the drive home, I would always daydream about running my own bra fitting business and setting up my own shop. Now that dream has become a reality (although I am still pinching myself!) and I am extremely excited to help the lovely ladies of South East Kent. I have decided to focus on the three areas of lingerie that I feel is currently missing in Kent. Sports bras, Nursing/ Maternity and Mastectomy bras are all needed at a specific time in a woman's life, or for a specific reason. Having a baby, surviving an illness or even running a marathon are all HUGE life events that should be celebrated - or more importantly, be SUPPORTED. And that's where I come in!
