Do you know all of the signs of a good fitting bra...? If you're not quite sure, read on! The underband is parallelWhen the underband is sitting nice nad snug on your body, it should run parallel along your back. The straight line of the bra indicates that it is firm and supporting you well. The back of the bra should sit straight all of the way around, so that it's sitting at the same level as the front section of the bra. You should be able to fit about two or three fingers underneath the band and be able to pull this out a small amount. Remember, you are wearing the bra - if it feels far too tight, then you can go up in the band size. It's important for the bra to be supportive, but even more important that it feels comfortable! Your breast tissue is fully encased in the cupIn a good fitting bra, the breasts should be fully encased and lifted. In a wired bra, the wire should be sitting right behind your breast tissue and not digging in. To test this, you can press down on the wire that sits underneath your armpit, and it shouldn't bounce back - the wire should be sitting flat almost on your ribcage, not sitting on any breast tissue. When the cup is the correct size, there shouldn't be any "double boob" or overspill (cup is too small) nor any puckering or gaps in the cup (cup too big). The gore of the bra is sitting flat to your breastboneWhen the underband is sitting firm and the cups are the right size, this should mean that the gore (the part in the middle of your bra at the front) should also sit flat. To test this, you can lift your arms above your head and this part of the bra should remain flush to your body. If it stands away then this means that it's not the right size for you! In a good fitting bra, you should be able to get a few fingers underneath and it should be able to pull away slightly from your breastbone. If you can pull this part of the bra out quite a bit, then this isn't the right size for you! I hope these tips have helped you work out if your are wearing a correctly fitting bra!
